Mette Kirkegaard is giving a couple of tunes at the Dubliner 51 BAR on 11th June around 9pm – the Smithfields Creative event begins at 7.45.
a Copenhagen-based singer-songwriter performing Nordic Americana — bluesy folk songs for runaway hearts and dreamers. Her English-spoken album, Simple Matters, was recorded in Austin, Texas, featuring acclaimed co-writers like legendary Kostas Lazarides and Austin-based J. Wagner (Gregory Alan Isakov’s songwriting partner).
She has performed in Berlin, London, and Texas, recently opening for UK band My Darling Clementine to great audience response. Her album Simple Matters received four stars from Politiken and Gaffa, and was in the nomination round for Best Danish Album of the Year at the Gaffa Awards.
